Education in the twenty-first century faces multiple challenges arising from rapid technological change, increasing fragmentation of knowledge, concerns of mental well-being, questions of values, and the growing need for sustainable and human- centered development. These conditions call for educational approaches that move beyond information transmission toward the holistic development of the learner.

Integral Education, as envisioned by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, presents a transformative framework that seeks the harmonious development of the physical, vital, mental, psychic and spiritual dimensions of the human being. It places the learner at the centre of the educational process and emphasizes self-discovery, consciousness, character formation, creativity, freedom, excellence and inner growth.

The proposed International Conference on “Integral Education: Theory, Practice and Transformation” seeks to create a scholarly platform for dialogue among academicians, school educators, researchers, policymakers and practitioners to critically engage with contemporary educational challenges and explore possibilities for meaningful educational transformation. The conference invites original research papers, conceptual papers, case studies, action research papers, innovative pedagogical models and institutional experiences.

OBJECTIVES:

  • To examine the philosophical and pedagogical foundations of Integral Education.
  • To explore innovative practices in school and higher education inspired by holistic educational principles.
  • To create dialogue between educational theory, institutional practice and transformative learning.
  • To encourage interdisciplinary and practice-oriented educational research.
  • To build a network of educators committed to human-centred educational development.
