H.P. Rama, the founder of JHM Enterprises, is a Certified Hotel Administrator and Chairman of the Board of Auro Hotels, a hospitality company renowned for hotel development, acquisition, and management. He is also the founding Chairman of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) and has served as Past Chairman of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA).
Mr. Rama is also the Chairman of Gujarat JHM Hotels Ltd., which owns and manages both Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott in Surat, and the Founder and President of AURO University in Surat, Gujarat. AURO University was founded by the Rama Family, inspired by the vision and teachings of Sri Aurobindo Ghosh and The Mother.
Mr. Rama has dedicated much of his life to serving Sri Aurobindo and the Mother as a devotee and seeker. He founded the Sri Aurobindo Integral Learning Centre “La Grace” in 2017 in the USA, a Corporate Retreat Centre in integral development, and plans to develop La Grace Retreat Centre in Pondicherry.
Mr. Rama’s vision and contribution to society have been recognized at the State and National levels, with him being appointed to Chief Ministerial and Prime Ministerial committees to celebrate Sri Aurobindo’s 150th Birth Anniversary. He is also an international advisory council member of the Auroville Foundation.
Mr. Rama has numerous honors and professional affiliations, including being President and Chancellor of Auro University, Chairman of the Board of the American Hotel and Motel Association, and a member of the Cultural Diversity Task Force and the Economy Lodging Council.
He is Charismatic, a great teacher, an institution Builder and a visionary leader.
