The degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is AURO University’s principal research degree for graduate students and is available across all its seven schools namely School of Business, School of Law, School of Hospitality, School of Information Technology, School of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, School of Design and School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Educational Qualification
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized Indian or foreign University/Institute with at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent.
Or
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised Indian or Foreign University / Institute with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks or equivalent.
Or
- An MPhil degree from a recognised university with at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent.
- Students currently appearing for their final-year degree examinations are also eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
Relaxation
As per UGC regulations, a 5% relaxation in marks (or equivalent grade) is granted to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled/EWS categories.)
Candidates qualifying for fellowships/scholarships in UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, CEED, or similar national-level tests are eligible for interview andÂ

AURO PhD Entrance Test (APET)
Syllabus: 50% research methodology + 50% subject-specific content.
Eligibility for Interview
Students securing 50% marks in the entrance test qualify for the interview.
Relaxation: 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled, EWS, and other categories as decided by the UGC.
Interview Call Criteria
Eligible students will be called for research proposal presentation and interviews based on available Ph.D. seats.
Final SelectionÂ
Candidates will be selected on basis of entrance test, research proposal presentation and interview.
