Visit to Maha Lok Adalat – Surat District Court
The Legal Aid Cell of the School of Law, AURO University, is organizing a visit to the Maha Lok Adalat at the Surat District Court. The visit aims to provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and the role of legal aid institutions in ensuring accessible and speedy justice.

- Venue: Surat District Court, Athwalines, Surat
During the visit, students will observe the proceedings of the Maha Lok Adalat and gain insights into the process of amicable dispute settlement. They will also understand the roles played by judicial officers and advocates, as well as the importance of Lok Adalats in reducing the burden of pending cases within the judicial system.
This experiential learning opportunity will help bridge the gap between theoretical legal education and the practical functioning of dispute resolution mechanisms in the Indian legal framework.
