Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Integrating Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) in Higher Education

We are pleased to announce that, in coordination with SAILC, a Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Integrating Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) in Higher Education” will be organized.

  • Time: 1:00 PM – 4:15 PM
  • Venue: Executive Classroom, Horizon

Objective:

This FDP aims to equip faculty members with an understanding of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) and their relevance in contemporary education, with a focus on Indian culture, civilization, ethics, and morality.

Background & Rationale:

With the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizing the integration of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into higher education, this Faculty Development Program introduces educators to India’s philosophical, ethical, and knowledge traditions while exploring ways to incorporate them into teaching methodologies.

Program Structure

Session 1: How to build a Civilization?

Session 2: Foundations of Indian Culture and Civilization

Speaker: Dr. Anurag Shukla
Duration: 90 minutes
