Culinary Educator by profession, education analyst by nature and currently incharge of training final year students at Auro University, Surat. Prior to joining Auro University in August 2021, Chef Manoj was associated with Symbiosis International University’s School of Culinary Arts, Pune for five years since its inception in 2016.
Chef Manoj Patkar is a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) by American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI), an alumnus of IHM Goa, MBA in Hospitality Management and has studied Professional Development Programs at Cornell University, USA. As a Visiting Faculty, Chef Manoj has shared expertise with faculty, staff and students of Macau University of Science and Technology during the academic visit in April / May 2019.
He has a decade of industry experience across luxury hotel chains such as Taj Mahal hotel – Mumbai, The Oberoi Towers – Mumbai, The Leela – Mumbai, Goa Marriott’s etc. in India besides fine dine restaurants in Cyprus and Switzerland.
He has contributed towards hospitality education for nine years while being associated with Apeejay Institute of Hospitality, Navi Mumbai and has been the ‘Chairman – Food Production’ at University of Mumbai for three years. He has been conferred ‘Chef Educator of the Year 2016’ award by (WICA) Western India Culinary Association in association with (IFCA) India Federation of Culinary Association and (WACS) World Association of Chef’s Societies.
Chef Manoj Patkar has presented research papers in national and international conferences and is in the pursuit of further research to improvise hospitality education in India.
