Mr. Vivek N. D. is an Assistant Professor at the School of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, AURO University, where he teaches Politics and Public Policy. He is pursuing his PhD from the Department of Political Science at the University of Hyderabad. His PhD research explores the politics of global health governance and policy making by comparing the cases of India and South Africa. His research interests lie within the interstices of international relations and policy analysis focusing on the political economy effects of economic globalisation and its impact on public policy in the context of Afro-Asian countries.
He has varied experience of more than a decade within the corporate and academic spheres involving research, reporting and communicating in the areas of international relations, governance and public policy. He was associate editor of ISBInsight, the Indian School of Business’ research quarterly on management and policy. Prior to the PhD, he was a consultant with the Government of Andhra Pradesh engaged in monitoring and evaluation of projects related to the educational and health sectors.
