Shilpi Rajpal teaches history in the School of Liberal Arts, Auro University. She works on the history of psychiatry in colonial India. Her manuscript Curing Madness; A Social and Cultural History of Insanity in North India, 1800-1950s will be published by the Oxford University Press, New Delhi, 2020. She was awarded Charles Wallace Short-term fellowship in 2015. She has published several articles in national and international journals.
She was a postdoctoral fellow in the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali. She finished her doctorate from the Department of History, University of Delhi.
