SUMMARY:Collective Meditation on Sri Aurobindo’s Mahasamadhi Day
DESCRIPTION:Sri Aurobindo Integral Life Centre invites the AURO Family and seekers to gather for a collective meditation in observance of Sri Aurobindo’s Mahasamadhi Day. \nOn 5th December 1950\, Sri Aurobindo withdrew from his physical body and entered Mahasamadhi. His passing was marked by a profound and extraordinary phenomenon witnessed by many. Nirodbaran\, a senior Ashramite and his personal physician\, recounts: \n“On 5th December 1950 at 1:26 a.m. he left his body and by morning the entire body was seen to be suffused with a golden-crimson hue\, so fresh and so magnificent… This Supramental Light remained for five days at a stretch… Sri Aurobindo’s body remained intact with no signs of discoloration or decomposition… On 9th December\, the light began to fade and in the evening the body was laid to rest in the Ashram courtyard under the Service Tree.” \nDetails: \n\nDate: 5th December 2025 (Friday)\nTime: 5:15 PM Onwards\nVenue: Sri Aurobindo Integral Life Centre (SAILC)\, AURO University\n\nThis day is observed with deep reverence and inner quietude\, as we turn inward to remember Sri Aurobindo’s luminous presence and renew our aspiration for inner growth.
