DESCRIPTION:In alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the growing emphasis on digital learning\, AURO University is organizing a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “Design and Development of MOOCs for Effective Teaching.” \nThis FDP will be led by Dr. Ashutosh Mohan\, National Coordinator of SWAYAM for Institutions of National Importance\, Ministry of Education\, Government of India\, and Associate Professor at the Institute of Management Studies\, Banaras Hindu University\, Varanasi. \nObjective: The programme aims to build the capacity of faculty members to conceptualize\, design\, and implement MOOCs that are pedagogically sound\, engaging\, and accessible. It seeks to foster digital proficiency and equip participants with the tools and strategies needed for large-scale online teaching. \nFDP Details: \n\nDate: 25th–26th July\, 2025\nTime: 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM\nVenue: Executive Classroom\, AURO University\nMode: Hybrid\nE-Certificates will be provided\n\nScope: Participants will gain insights into: \n\nThe SWAYAM framework\nLearning outcome identification\nStructuring of online modules\nLearner-centric content design\nDigital content creation tools\nOnline assessment methods\nRegulatory frameworks and quality standards for MOOCs\n\nOutcome: By the end of the session\, attendees will be proficient in both the technical and instructional aspects of MOOC development. This FDP will enable them to contribute to national digital education initiatives by developing high-quality online courses for platforms like SWAYAM. \nAcademic Relevance: This FDP is especially beneficial for faculty members looking to integrate MOOCs into their teaching practices.
