Festival of Learning 2018- “Integral Inter / actions”

The following sessions were conducted on 1st August i.e. 8th day of the Festival of Learning.

MOTIVATIONAL TALK ON PHYSICAL ENDURANCE by Mr.Vispi Kharadi

Mr. Vispi Kharadi began the session started with a clipping of his Guinness World Records. He shared the challenges he faced during his journey. He shared his mantras on mental health & strength. It was an interactive session which was followed by questions from students.

TALENT HUNT & ACTIVE CLUBS

The session was conducted by the Club Coordinators. They explained the vision & mission of their respective groups. Videos of past activities conducted were shown to the students. Many students enquired for joining the clubs.

MOTIVATIONAL TALK by Mr. Anand Naidu

Mr. Naidu started with what is success and then explained different stages of human belief, action & surrounding to get aligned & focused. The session was interactive and students showed interest.

ASPIRATION OF MILLENIAL CHALLENGES FOR EMPLOYERS by Mr. Vijay Thacker

Mr. Thacker gave a motivational talk for students to become good employers or employees in the future. His talk revolved around the areas like Gadgets & Social Media menace, Cultivating intelligence by creating analytical ability, Values imperative for life, Balance in Life & Emphasis on Communication.

ANUBHAVSHALA by Depankar Rao

It was an ice-breaking session for students as they were made to realize their EQ through various activities & dance. The students were overwhelmed after attending the session. They were introduced to concepts of empathy, love, joy, unity, sharing & the likes.

DANCE MOVEMENT THERAPY by Mr. Shankar Hemmady

Mr. Hemmady began the session in a very friendly & relatable way with students. He started with walking exercise & then Dance therapy. He also conducted a discussion on artificial intelligence & machine learning in comparison to human emotion.

NUTRITION by Ms. Nirja Parikh

A practicing diet counselor with over 22 years of experience, Ms. Nirja gave advice and tips on nutrition to the young students. She spoke about cultivating good eating habits, value of exercise, joy of enjoying one’s food, importance of water intake, healthy snacking, etc. she gave insights on how to deal with untimely cravings, weight management and harmful habits from various substances.

COUNSELLING by Ms.Veena Vaishy

Ms. Veena talked about mental wellbeing. She spoke about symptoms and precautions of mental illness & depression and about the importance of body language. She gave ideas for developing confidence, effective communication & overall health.

HAPPINESS WORKSHOP by Mr. Jatin

The speaker played a short film on happiness & students were asked to note their observations. A word association test was also done with students. The session was very interactive.

MEGATRENDS & MEGACULTURES by Me. Deepak Vohra

Mr. Vohra started the session with the topic megatrends & mega cultures. He took a quiz on global facts with students. He also talked about global economics.

WATER APPRECIATION by Munibhai

Munibhai impressed upon the students the importance of water for sustenance. He highlighted the value of water in agriculture, ground water & rainfall. He mentioned about the critical state of the rivers today. The session was a critical one in a sense of one’s own retrospect.

IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL WORK by Mrs. Geeta Shroff

Mrs. Shroff shared with students the importance of doing social work. She also shared the initiatives of her NGO & the change it has brought about. She invited students to join her initiatives as part of internships. The evils that exist in society were a real eye-opener. She emphasized on giving back to society in the form of social work.
