School of Commerce and Economics, AURO University has been established with a single minded focus of exposing the student to current, relevant and critical issues in the international commercial and economic system so that he / she can be ready to face the challenges upon graduation. Globalisation has brought to the fore several issues pertaining to commerce and economics raising the larger issues of administration and international mobility. Commerce Education is a type of training which while playing its part in the achievement of general aims of education on any given level has for its primary objective the preparation of people to enter upon a business career or having entered upon a career, to render more efficient service therein and to advance their present level of employment to higher levels. If education is thought of as adjustment of the individual to his environment, commerce education must be thought of as adjustment of the individual to his business environment.
School of commerce and Economics offers a B.Com program which is essentially a first degree program of three year duration with updated and contemporary course inputs customising it for premium professional courses. The three year UG degree program lays stress on vital subjects like accounting, taxation, computer application, banking, managerial economics, business law, e - commerce, and Business Mathematics and Statistics.
Apart from the core courses in the B.Com degree, the School also offers courses in specialized areas such as Accounting and Finance, Marketing Management, Banking and Insurance and E-Commerce.
The syllabus is constantly updated to reflect new trends in the subject and to take advantage of the latest infrastructure. Students also avail of a state of the art computer lab. Nothing compares to hands on experience. Students are acclimatized to the workplace through periodic industrial visits. Various extracurricular activities like Commerce club, commerce magazine, market studies, field trips, surveys, debates, symposiums, running of School Bank, running of school cooperative store, projects etc. will form an integral part of the academic activities. Focus is also given to new age e - commerce and e - business, which is making an impact in the field. The school also organizes career guidance and entrepreneurial development programs to upgrade their skills and make them industry ready. Hence the program keeps up with its ultimate aim of integral and transformational learning.
